Finally I have read the book of Arthur Golden “The memoirs of a geisha”, which was filmed by Spielberg. And have to say, the book is much, much better than a film! but such statements can be related to all (ok, 90%) attempts to do a glorious film based on a glorious story, in our case, on the novel. Okay, the significance of what I´m gonna tell you is another thing.
After reading the original story I wanted to see the film again. One of my friends came to me and we enjoyed the magic Japanese world with real good music. And at the final moment, when the Chairman stayes with Saori in the wonderful garden (in film it was a tee house), she said very frankly: “For a such guy like the Chairman (the actor Ken Watanabe) I also can be a geisha”. After our not long discussion we both came to a conclusion, for the Chairman we are able to become geisha(-s). *lol* *i am not here for your entertainment*
